Nero Coffee’s mini private campground is the perfect place to enjoy the mountains. It’s always peacceful with only one group campsite that can accomodate 1-8 people with tents, vans, or rooftop tents, and one separate “glamping-style” cozy A frame cabin. This six acre spot is super close to both DuPont an Pisgah National Forest and it’s perfect for families looking for a place to camp together, those camping with dogs (friendly dogs are allowed off leash) or groups planing a mountain bike weekend getaway (in addition to our miles of nearby forest trails, Kanuga Mountain Bike Park is also only 12 minutes away). In addition to private camping, this space also gives Nero Coffee Hikes a basecamp for hosting our overnight trips and retreats and it really is the perfect place to continue our mission of creating connection through sharing great coffee and conversation outdoors. Plus it’s just really fun to have a place to get great humans together.

MINI A Frame Coffee Cabin
Enjoy our newest addition - the “Cozy A-Frame Coffee Cabin” with a super cool side-door that easily raises with a push button pulley system, so you can easily create the perfect indoor/outdoor space. You can hear the small stream beside the cabin as you enjoy the wildflowers, ferns, and a little peak at the mountains through the trees from the deck. This cabin was custom designed by my partner and I and a local builder, The Rolling Cabin, made our dreams a reality. There are so many “trendy” AirBnb options now that you can just buy and put on your land, but we wanted to create something using local salvaged materials and make sure it really fit the land without having to remove the fallen trees or the rhododendron tunnels. This spot really has a magical feeling to it and we are soooo happy with how it turned out and with 90+ five star reviews, our guests love it too.

Peaceful, Private Group Camping (and coffee ☕)
When you book a campsite, you have the whole camping area and fully stocked “coffee shed” available for your group. The upper camping area is a nice, flat spot for parking vans, trucks with rooftop tents, small off-road teardrops, or setting up multiple tents. The lower creekside area is only acccesible by foot but is great for tent camping if you don’t mind carrying your gear about 40 yards down to the creekside area. It’s a great spot for hanging up a hammock and stargazing too :)
You also have unlimited free Nero Coffee in the self-selve coffee shed (french presses, pour over filters, and a regular coffee pot available as well as creamer and light snacks) a heated outdoor shower, serviced portable toilet, fire pits and picnic tables.
There is no electricity available at the campsite, but there is a power strip in the coffee shed if you need to charge your phone or other small electronics Please note, if you do not book the A Frame Cabin as well, it is possible the guests in the A frame will share your camp restroom and access to the coffee shed as well.

NERO Coffee’s Custom RETREATS:
We know and love the mountains of western North Carolina, so let us plan and host the perfect 3 day retreat fully customized for you. We currently offer a Luxury and Glamping retreat options. Both include all accommodations, custom trip planning, all meals, and transportation with your local guide.
After requesting your booking with a $100 deposit, we will set up a quick Q&A with you about your trip preferences. You will then review your custom itinerary for your trip and we will make sure it fits the way you like to travel. A member of our team will be your guide for the entitreity of your stay, so from airport pick up to activity transportattion, you will always have the assurance that all logistics handled for you.
Common activities include sunset guided hikes, forest yoga, private white water rafting trips, spa services like outdoor soaking tubs with mountain views and couples massages. Our network of local businesses make it easy for us to schedule unique experiences for our guests and we handle all the logistics for you so you can relax and enjoy your time in the mountains.
We know “locking in” a schedule for your full weekend may feel hard to commit to ahead of time, so we encourage guests to think of our trip planning as fully planned with flexibility. Change of plans once you arrive on site? We understand sometimes on vacation you may decide a massage sounds better than the guided hike we originially planned, so we do our best to make sure all of our trips can be adapted (within reason) to make sure you have the best weekend in the mountains. Just keep in tuoch with your trip guide and we will always make sure we are making this the best trip you can have.
Standard packages are for 3 day retreats - Longer trips available upon request.
Booking Process: At booking, you will only pay a $100 Trip Q&A Request Deposit. This deposit will let us know to schedule a trip consultation with you and the $100 will be removed from your final payment for your trip. If you choose not to book the trip, no worries you can keep your custom trip itinerary, but please note that the $100 trip consultation fee is non-refundable if you do not book a retreat with us.
All prices listed are our base price, and most 3 day trips will fit within the base price, but if your custom trip choices exceed the listed price, we will fully communicate with you ahead of time to make sure you know the full price of your trip. *All transportation with your local guide is included in the base price to activities with 2 hours of Asheville, NC.
